My story
The Alignment Room was created through my own journey of understanding how stress and life experiences shape the body, nervous system, and sense of safety.
Through both professional training and lived experience,I came to recognise the importance of working with the body in a gentle, grounded and non-forceful way especially when navigating periods of overwhelm, dysregulation or recovery.
This understanding shaped my approach to somatic alignment, breathwork and body-based support.Today,my work is centred on offering a calm, supportive space where people can slow down, reconnect with their bodies and restore balance at their own pace.
Who I help
I work with people who feel overwhelmed, tense or disconnected from their bodies and are looking for a gentle,body-based way to feel more grounded and present.
My clients may experience ongoing stress, physical tension or difficulty relaxing and feeling at ease. They are ready to take time for themselves and explore supportive practices that help regulate the nervous system.
This work is for those who value personalised,hands-on sessions and are open to slowing down, listening to their body and restoring balance at their own pace.
Sessions are suited for those seeking a supportive,non-forceful approach rather than a quick fix.
What to expect
Somatic Alignment Session
Somatic Breathwork is about releasing physical and energetic blocks from stored trauma and stress, restoring natural life force flow, and bringing the body, mind and spirit into harmony using breath, movement, touch and deep body awareness. It's a holistic practice that helps regulate the nervous system, calm anxiety and foster a profound sense of safety and wholeness by addressing the physical sensations where emotions and memories are held
Each session is guided at a gentle pace and shaped around your individual needs on the day.
- We begin with a short, grounding conversation to understand your current physical, emotional and nervous system state
- Together,we set a clear and supportive intention for the session, based on what feels most relevant for you
- You will then lie down fully clothed on a mat or bed, allowing time to settle into the space and feel supported
- Gentle breathwork and verbal guidance are used to help you bring awareness to your body and notice sensations in a safe, contained way
- Somatic,body-based techniques may be introduced to support relaxation, release physical tension, and encourage nervous system regulation
- Throughout the session, there is no pressure to achieve a particular outcome -you are always in control and can pause or adjust at any time
- Sessions focus on supporting a shift toward a calmer, more settled state, helping you reconnect with your body and sense of presence
- At the end of the session, time is given for rest and integration. This may include quiet reflection, sharing insights,or simply resting in silence before transitioning back into your day
Sessions are guided at your pace and within your comfort, with a strong emphasis on safety, choice and gentle support.
Typical Results:
- A sense of calm, grounding or increased ease
- Reduced physical tension and mental overwhelm
- Greater body awareness and clarity
- A feeling of being more centred or present
- Over time and with regular sessions, some clients notice improvements in sleep, energy levels and overall resilience
After Your Session:
Everyone responds differently. Some people feel immediate relaxation or lightness, while others may notice temporary tiredness, vivid dreams or heightened awareness as the body continues to process and integrate the session. These responses are common and part of the integration process.
Drinking water, resting when needed and allowing yourself some quiet time can help support your system as it settles.
