Who I Am:
I’m Anka D.,a certified therapist specialising in somatic alignment, hypnotherapy, and massage based in London.I help clients reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and restore balance through personalised sessions that support holistic well-being.
My story
The Alignment Room was created because I’ve personally struggled with my own past traumas and realized how they affected my body, mind, and day-to-day life. Through somatic alignment and personalised massage, I discovered how powerful it can be to release stored tension and emotions, restore balance, and feel grounded again. This inspired me to guide others to reconnect with their bodies, release what no longer serves them, and find calm and clarity in a safe, supportive space.
Who I help
My client is someone who feels overwhelmed, tense, or disconnected from their body due to daily stress, past trauma, or the pressures of modern life. They may experience physical tension, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty feeling grounded and at ease. They are ready to take time for themselves, to reconnect with their body, and to restore balance in a gentle, supportive way. My clients aspire to feel calmer, more present, and in control of their well-being, and they value personalised, hands-on approaches that work with both body and nervous system.
What to expect
Somatic Alignment Session
- We start with a short conversation to understand your physical and emotional state
- Setting a clear intention for the session, focusing on your healing goals.
- Settling in-you will lie down, close your eyes, and settle into the space. Conscious connected breathing and vocal guidance will support you in dropping into your body to prepare for emotional release
- Somatic work-I will guide you through conscious breathing,gentle body-based techniques to release tension and stored emotions from stress or past experiences
- Focus on nervous system balance to help you shift from tension to a calmer state
- Enhanced energy flow throughout the body, improving the functioning of organs and bodily systems
- Release of limiting beliefs, programming, and conditioning
- Fully clothed on a mat or bed
- Integration-after the session, you will have time to
integrate the experience. This may include sharing your insights, receiving further guidance, or simply resting in silence.

After Your Session:
Everyone responds differently. Some people feel immediate relaxation and lightness, while others may notice temporary tiredness, vivid dreams, or heightened emotions as the body processes and rebalances. These are normal signs of integration. Drinking water, resting when needed, and allowing yourself quiet time can support your system as it adjusts.
Massage Therapy Session
What to Expect:
- 60 or 90 min session
- Customised Swedish massage for relaxation, combined with deep tissue work where needed
- Warm essential oils prepared on the spot to enhance relaxation
- Fully personalised, nurturing, and focused on your comfort and well-being
Typical Results:
- Relief from muscle tension and stiffness
- Deep sense of relaxation and rejuvenation
- Improved circulation, posture, and energy levels
- Feeling lighter, calmer, and more present.
After Your Session:
It’s common to feel deeply relaxed or even a little tired as your body adjusts. You may also notice mild muscle soreness (especially after deeper work), increased thirst, or heightened awareness of your body. These are natural signs that your system is processing. Drinking water, resting, and gentle movement will help your body integrate the benefits.
